Visible Light Reflection and Transmission. Reflection and transmission of light waves occur because the frequencies of the light waves do not match the natural frequencies of vibration of the objects. When light waves of these frequencies strike an object, the electrons in the atoms of the object begin vibrating. A transmission warning light may serve a double duty. It may inform you of transmission faults, but the transmission light in some vehicles may also serve as a maintenance reminder to let you know it is time to check or change your transmission fluid, or to take your vehicle to the dealer for regular maintenance. A check engine light is not dedicated to the engine only. A check engine light can also tell you that you have problems with the transmission including overheating, solenoid problems, speed sensors, slipping transmission and many other problems. Have the trouble codes retrieved to see what systems and circuits are indicating a problem.

Light transmission decreased with increasing post length (p≤0.001; ANOVA) up to 12 mm in all post groups. The individually formed FRC post showed highest light transmission in all cylinder lengths (p.

Transmission Light On Car

Light

My wife was driving as she normally does to work, got off the highway exit and thought she hit a small patch of ice/slush and all of a sudden bells and whistles are going off telling her to Service Transmission, Service ECS and engine shuts off. Luckily she was able to coast to a safe parking area. Could not shift the transmission into any gear, not even park, so she engaged the e-brake. This vehicle has a push-button trans, everything is electronic so nothing seemed to work and we couldn't even get the car to turn off. It's less than 2 months old!

Had it towed to the dealer by dragging it onto a flatbed and then tow truck driver had to 'shake' it off after pouring oil around all the tires numerous times after dealer tech couldn't figure out how to release e-brake. It's been there for a week and they haven't even started to work on it. Probably need a new trans and they said it would take at least a week to order once they diagnose. Blah.

Update from Mar 18, 2019: Apparently the wire harness that goes to the transmission was rubbing against a miscellaneous stud and wore through causing the system to short out. Removed extraneous stud and repaired wire harness. Has been fine since.
